Healso held the office of assistant attorney general of Puerto Rico from1925-1927 and attorney general from 1927-1932. James Rumsey Beverley (1894-1967) was governor of Puerto Rico from January 1932 to August 1933. He also held the office of assistant attorney general of Puerto Rico from 1925-1927 and attorney general from 1927-1932. He remained on the island after his governorship ended, practicing law and serving on various committees.
